Forumoprichter ScuL heeft besloten de stekker uit het grootste hardstyleforum wereldwijd te trekken. Na enig twijfel en tumult de afgelopen tijd gaat de stekker er zaterdag 6 februari alsnog uit.

Het forum was een thuis voor vele liefhebbers, maar werd de laatste tijd geplaagd door negativiteit, kinderachtige discussies en zelfs artiesten die zich niet wisten te gedragen. Met name de instroming van Nu-style liefhebbers tegenover de oude garde is niet bepaald vloeiend verlopen. Uiteraard zitten er ook persoonlijke argumenten aan vast: de oprichter kon simpelweg de tijd en de moeite niet meer opbrengen om nog fatsoenlijk voor het forum te zorgen. Het rigoreuze besluit zal niet onopgemerkt blijven, de Global forumgroep heeft 30000 leden waarvan het grootste deel vanuit Globalhardstyle komt. De andere subsecties (Globalhardcore, -hardtrance en -hardtechno) zullen nog gewoon blijven bestaan in hun huidige vorm.

Het volgende persoonlijke bericht is te lezen op het forum:

I can no longer emotionally, spiritually and mentally contribute to the decayed and corrupt music industry that goes by the name of Hardstyle.

Instead of it being an enrichment to my life it has become a burden to maintain and especially with all the negativity caused by several entities within the scene I don’t longer want to be confronted with it and suffer from it. The matter of conflict involved with hardstyle has pressurized me to extreme extents on several occasions which led me to explode against people who can’t really do much about it.

On a personal level; I’m currently starting with a new life in a new country and the burden of keeping Global Hardstyle distracts me from focusing on the important things in life. I would also like to be able to watch a movie or play a game instead of being occupied with all kinds of hardstyle conflicts on a daily basis.

I feel sad for all the people that have contributed and enjoyed Global Hardstyle over the years. There were many fun times and positive moments to be had, but all good things come to an end. It’s time to wake up and realize that hardstyle is dead and will never return in its original form and we should bury it accordingly, together with the website.

My GHF concept however is too valuable to throw away, which is why the Hardcore, Hardtechno and Hardtrance sites will remain active and will receive more attention than ever before.

On a final note; the entire ban list will be cleared. Those who want to remain in touch with people through the other GHF sites are welcome to do so but hardstyle discussion will be discouraged.
